Boracay ordeal- Why,oh,why wasn't justice served

I wrote this to tell you all I find it incredible
We say do this, do that bi...
Do we practice what we preach?
In an island miles away gunmen came one night
Hustled frightened guests & staff beat up some so might
After some brutality finally police arrived got rid of some armalites
But the leaders stayed in the resort which resulted in a tort

Why, oh, why wasn't justice served? Was there bribery I heard?

We tell kids obey the law but this is not what I saw
In Boracay, Philippines since Nov. 5 and countin'
The invaders do continue to terrorize the Hutchinsons
Unable to leave the penthouse mindful of their backs
Fearful of faceless assassins who might go into attack
Electricity, water, & phone were cut
Doors and windows, were tightly shut

Why, oh, why wasn't justice served? Was there corruption, have you heard?

The five-yr old twins are damaged by this ordeal for sure
How on earth can they manage with their lives so insecure
Unable to comprehend, why the police don't apprehend?
The perpetrators who are there
The twins are so scared "Mama, I don't wanna die!
Why are we stuck up here
While below us are the bad guys?"

Why, oh, why wasn't justice served? Are there whispers, have you heard?

When it comes to greed and money Evil seems to be around
Foreign investors be wary signatories are not bound
If you know of high officials who can easily be bought
There are others higher still who can bring documents to a halt
The wheels of justice turn slowly I implore to you
Filipinos come and join me
Let us wave the banner proudly
Ask the Aklan authorities

Why, oh, why wasn't justice served?

Return Sandcastles Resort to the Hutchinsons who deserve!
